Covering the old factory leather steering wheel with Wheelskins new leather steering wheel cover. Many of these models come equipped with Factory-installed leather covered steering wheels. The Wheelskins size might vary depending upon whether or not the old leather covering is removed. If the Wheelskin is to be installed over the original factory cover, you might need a larger or special order size. Please measure.

Please use the measuring instructions below to determine the size of your wheel and submit them when placing your order. Outside Diameter Measurement:

Measure the Outside Diameter: (Measurement in Inch. Example 14 inch, 14 1/2 inch)

Grip Circumference Measurement:

Measure the Grip Circumference Measure at Top or Bottom Of steering wheel for thickness (The thickest part of the spoke). On older model cars, measure the high point of the finger indents. (Measurement in Inch. Example 2 1/2 inch, 3 1/4 inch)

This is a good product, but I have some suggestions

This is a good product, and I like how Wheelskins will send color swatches to narrow down what works best for your car. I also like that you can customize your order to fit the wheel diameter and the circumference of the wheel rim. My car was not in the online list, so I went with my own measurements. I am an engineer by training and believe my measurements were accurate, but I thought the cover I received should have been a bit larger in both dimensions, but particularly the rim circumference. It was a tight fit to stretch the cover over the diameter of the wheel, but I got it on. As to lashing up the cover around the circumference of the rim, I was not able to get the stitches as tight as I would have liked, particularly around the seam of the cover. I am 74 years old and do not have the strength in my hands that I once had, but I would have rather had a little pucker at tight laces than having areas where the two sides of the cover did not close up and excess lacing was shown. The cover looks presentable, but I would have been happier with a little bigger dimensions on the cover, particularly on the rim circumference.

I order these and was so pleased with this cover. the quality is outstanding. My wife actually installed this on my 1961 oldsmobile dynamic 88 and it looks fantastic.Only thing i should have done is order it a 16th inch bigger and it would be perfect Thats on me . Thats how precise they are.

The fit and quality of the leather wheel cover is spot on, and the ordering process and diligence by the staff in regards to the measurement and fit was excellent. However, I specified a contrasting thread color in my order notes and a matching thread was sent. Additionally, I requested double length thread for baseball stitching purposes, which was included. But a baseball stitch requires two needles and only one was sent. Also, instructions for baseball stitching would have definitely helped. Fix those issues and it's a 5 star rating.

It's a surprise and a pleasure to buy a product, in today's online world, that fits perfectly, is very good quality, and installs easily. A bit pricey, but worth it. Would buy again
